“And it broke my heart, he didn't deserve to pass away,” said another young girl.

“He was just a good kid. I got to see him grow up to be a good young man,” said Inez Franklin, Director of the Vernell Coleman Community Center.

Franklin knew Anthony since he was six-years-old and said she was looking forward to him growing old.

“All the kids to go up here they always come back and tell me how they're doing. They show me their diploma or their baby,” she said.

Anthony will never have that chance though.

Anthony was not immediately declared deceased.

He was rushed to the hospital where doctors put him on a ventilator.
