A teen was shot and injured behind a mall in the West Valley on Monday afternoon.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, a 15-year-old male told police he was shot by unknown suspects, and he did not know why he'd been targeted.
The teen was behind the strip mall near 75th Avenue and Thomas Road. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, which do not appear to be life-threatening.
Officers say there aren't any outstanding suspects at the time as they continue their investigation.
