Police shut down a major west Phoenix intersection for nearly four hours following a crash investigation and gas line repair.
Officers were called to the area of 67th Avenue and Camelback Road early Friday morning in response to a crash. Glendale officials say two cars crashed, sending one of the cars into a major gas line.
The drivers in each car were taken to the hospital, one with serious to life-threatening injuries. There's no word on whether either driver was impaired or what caused the crash.
Crews were on scene working to repair the damaged gas line. As of 8 a.m. the intersection had been reopened.
