Silent Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information on an armed robbery of a Safeway grocery store.

Police say on Sunday at 9:15 p.m. two suspects entered the store at 35th Avenue and Northern.

One of the suspect’s took an employee into an office to get money.

The other suspect forced all other people to the back of the store and fired a shot into the air to get them to comply.

Police say the suspects left the store in a 1990’s white Chevrolet pickup truck with an extended cab. The truck has a metal camper shell with orange and yellow “marker lights” on the top similar to a work truck. The vehicle may also have dark marks on the passenger side.

Suspect one is described as a white male, 150 pounds, about 23 to 35 years old. He was wearing a bandana around his face, camouflage pants and tennis shoes while carrying a small sledge hammer.

The second suspect is a white male 185 pounds, about 45 years old with a pock marked face. He was wearing a hoodie underneath a brown jacket, jeans and tennis shoes. He was also armed with two handguns.

Police say the case is concerning since a shot was fired inside the store.

There were no injuries.
