The Phoenix Police Department chased down a man who had a gun in a desert area near 43rd Avenue and Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) Thursday.
According to police, the man was seen in the area with a gun and was successfully taken into custody after he was chased down.
Police said they are still investigating the incident and gathering additional evidence in the area.
The gun the man had on him was recovered by police, and they say it was a stolen weapon.
