Officials are investigating an apparent domestic violence shooting in Phoenix.
The shooting happened on Wednesday morning near 39th Avenue and Dunlap Avenue.
Phoenix police said they were called to the scene for a domestic violence incident. When officers arrived on the scene they found a woman who was shot several times.
A man has been detained and police believe alcohol played a part in the shooting.
Three children were inside the home at the time of the shooting, they were not injured.
The woman was taken to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
