One man is dead and his nephew is seriously injured after a shooting in a West Valley neighborhood Friday night.

Phoenix Fire Capt. Reda Bigler said they received several reports shortly before 6 p.m. of two people shot and laying on the side of the road near 67th Avenue and Van Buren Street.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased victim's nephew, a 20-year-old man, was transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition but is expected to survive.

Air15 video showed multiple police vehicles blocking off the road as officers investigated at the scene.

Police said they are searching for as many as four suspects, all Hispanic males, in a four-door sedan.

Details are developing, but a motive is not apparent at this time.

Police have not said whether this case is connected to the serial street shootings.
