Police say another man has died after a fiery crash involving a city bus over the weekend in Phoenix.

A westbound Valley Metro bus was turning into Desert Sky Mall near 79th Avenue and Thomas Road when it was struck by an eastbound vehicle around 7 a.m. Sunday, according to Phoenix police.

When fire crews arrived, there was one person trapped in the burning vehicle.

On Sunday, police said one of the two men in the vehicle was killed in the crash, and the second man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police confirmed Monday morning the second man has also died. They were identified as 27-year-old Jesus Torres-Calles and 22-year-old Juan Avila.

Two people on the bus were taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

The investigation is ongoing.
