Man shot twice in road rage incident in west Phoenix

PHOENIX - A man was shot multiple times in a west Phoenix road rage incident Sunday morning. 

Phoenix police say at around 3 a.m. two vehicles were traveling eastbound on Thomas Road at 51st Avenue when the occupants exchanged words.

Shots were fired from one vehicle at the other and a driver was struck, police said. 

The victim was reportedly shot twice in the leg but is expected to survive his injuries, according to information from the scene. 

Police told our ABC15 crews that the incident ended near 59th Avenue and Indian School Road. 

The suspect is at large at this time and officers are searching for a dark blue older model Chevy pickup truck.
