Phoenix Police are conducting a homicide investigation after a man was found deceased in an alley behind several homes Friday afternoon.
Officers responded to a neighborhood near 35th Avenue and Camelback Road around 1 p.m to check on the welfare of a man lying in an alleyway.
Sergeant Alan Pfohl said officers discovered the man had been shot several times and was deceased.
Residents in the area told police they had heard gun shots the night before around 10:30 p.m.
Another resident saw the man laying in the alley around 6 a.m. this morning, but did not call anything in, police say.
There is no suspect information or known motive at this time, according to police.
