PHOENIX — Police are investigating a deadly shooting near 57th Avenue and Thomas Road.
Officers were called to the area around 6 a.m. Wednesday when gunshots were reported. At the scene, a man, later identified as 26-year-old Francisco Cardenas was found dead in a vehicle.
Police say the investigation is in the very early stages.
It's unclear whether any suspect has been identified.
