PD: 2 people killed, 3 others injured in west Phoenix crash

PHOENIX - Two people have been killed and three others have serious injuries after a multi-vehicle accident near 67th Avenue and Thomas Road, according to the Phoenix Police Department. 

Police say two vehicles hit each other head-on, causing the crash. A third vehicle was hit as a result of the crash.  

An adult female driver from one vehicle and an adult male passenger from the second vehicle were both killed in the crash. 

The driver of the second vehicle is also in critical condition. The third driver involved, and a juvenile female in that vehicle, have serious but non-life threatening injuries. 

Police are still investigating what caused the two vehicles to hit each other head on.
