A Phoenix woman escaped a house fire Wednesday, but her dog didn't make it out.
Phoenix firefighters were called to the home near 27th Avenue and Camelback around noon.
Crews say the fire appears to have started in one of the bedrooms.
The Red Cross is helping the woman look for a new place to stay.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
