PHOENIX — A 29-year-old man is dead after hitting a power pole near 51st Avenue and Campbell in west Phoenix.
The Phoenix Police Department says around 2:00 a.m. Sunday the driver of a white pickup truck was heading northbound on 51st Avenue and veered off the road.
The driver, later identified as Anthony Fullylove Jr., hit a power pole and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fullylove was reportedly driving northbound on 51st Avenue and hit a parked vehicle, causing his truck to rotate and collide into the utility pole.
Authorities say speed was determined to be a factor in the crash. They also say Fullylove was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Phoenix police say it is unknown if the driver was impaired.
