GOODYEAR, AZ — Officials are investigating a road-rage shooting involving two people driving on a West Valley freeway Thursday afternoon.
Department of Public Safety spokesman Jonathan Montes said officials began getting reports around 4 p.m. that the driver of a Chevrolet Camaro had been shot by someone inside a pickup truck on northbound Loop 303 just north of Interstate 10.
The Camaro driver was shot in the leg and transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
On Friday, Goodyear police confirmed the shooting stemmed from an act of road-rage near I-10 and Loop 303.
According to Montes, the suspect vehicle hasn't been located.
Goodyear police are currently investigating the cause of the altercation.

Northbound Loop 303 was shut down from I-10 to Camelback Road for several hours while crews investigated.
The northbound lanes of Loop 303 were reopened around 8:30 p.m.
Police also released an image of the alleged suspect vehicle.
