Two dogs found wandering on a busy Valley freeway Friday have been reunited with their owner.
Department of Public Safety troopers were called to the scene near Interstate 10 near 51st Avenue around 3:30 p.m.
The dogs were seen dangerously close to traffic and then walking over to the shoulder close to a flooded canal.
An Arizona Department of Transportation camera showed two troopers coming up to the dogs and then walking away.
The troopers returned, but one dog went into the canal and another got stuck in a drain.
Animal control workers rescued the pups and took them to Maricopa County Animal Care and Control.
MCACC posted the dogs' picture on their website and their owner came forward.
The pups and their mom were reunited Saturday morning.
