The Phoenix Police Department says a 16-year-old has serious injuries after being hit crossing the street near 59th Avenue and Thomas Road.
The incident happened around 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say the teen was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, and the driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene, police say it’s unclear if impairment was a factor in the crash.
59th Avenue is closed in both directions from Thomas Road to Indian School Road while police investigate.
