PHOENIX — Sometimes out of the darkest times come the light of generosity. That was certainly the case for one Phoenix family whose daughter is fighting cancer.
Peyton’s friend, Jax, decided to set up a table on his birthday. Jax didn’t want any presents, though. He just wanted to sell things to help Peyton fight her battle with cancer and win.
Peyton’s family wanted Jax to know they appreciate him.
“This is all coming from something that’s not good, and kids finding a way to find goodness in it,” Peyton’s dad, Jake Gonzales said.
Peyton also has a website, throughpeytonseyes.com, where she sells paintings to help with her fight against cancer.
As for Jax, he’s not done yet. He’ll be out again on March 4 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., south of 115th Avenue and Pinnacle Peak Road.
