Officials have arrested a man in connection to a deadly shooting in Phoenix on Tuesday.

Phoenix police arrested 27-year-old Nikolas Dominguez after he admitted to shooting two people at a house near 7th Avenue and Dobbins Road.

Officers were called to the house after a caller said they were unable to talk to their family member and was concerned for his welfare. The caller arrived at the house and found two shooting victims.

When officers arrived on the scene they found a 41-year-old man who was shot multiple times along with the relative’s girlfriend, 21-year-old Jessica Sanchez.

Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

While at the hospital, the victim was able to tell officials where Dominguez was located.

Dominguez was booked into jail on one count of first degree murder and aggravated assault.
