Police: Pedestrian dies after being struck by car in Phoenix

PHOENIX - A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle in Phoenix on Thursday morning. 

According to the Phoenix Police Department, just before 4 a.m. officers responded to a traffic collision near 24th Street and Broadway Road. 

Police say a man was crossing the street, mid-block, when he was struck by a passing car. 

The man was taken to the hospital where he later died. 

The driver stopped and cooperated with investigators, police said.

Neither speed or impairment appear to be factors in this collision, according to police.
