PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating a shooting in south Phoenix.
Officers were called to a home on Alta Vista Road, near 24th Street and Southern Avenue, around midnight for reports of a shooting.
When they arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound, according to Phoenix police.
It's believed the victim was standing in a front yard when shots were fired and he was struck.
He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, police said.
A suspect has not been identified and a motive remains unclear.
