Officials say a swamp cooler could be to blame for a fire that sparked at a south Phoenix home Monday afternoon.

A Phoenix Fire Department spokesperson said the resident was able to safely get out of the house, located near 27th Street and Broadway Road.

A partial roof collapse challenged crews as they were fighting the flames, but no injuries were reported.

Fire investigators were called out to the scene to assist, officials said.
