The Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating after a victim says members of a motorcycle gang shot at him.

Troopers received the report around 7:45 p.m. and the caller said it happened near the Perryville Road exit of Interstate 10 in the West Valley, according to a spokesperson.

The caller told law enforcement five or six shots were fired by members of the Mongol motorcycle gang, but neither he nor his vehicle were hit.

Maricopa County Sheriff's Office deputies stopped a group of Mongol gang riders near their clubhouse.

Detectives with the DPS Gang and Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission are conducting the investigation, Capt. Damon Cecil said.

Authorities were searching the area for evidence and interviewing witnesses as of 9 p.m. Saturday.
