PHOENIX — One person has died after their car caught on fire following a crash on Loop 202 South Mountain near 17th Avenue Saturday morning.
Phoenix Fire officials said firefighters responded to the area for a multi-vehicle crash.
Firefighters arrived at the scene to find a two-vehicle crash with one vehicle caught on fire.
Authorities said the person inside the car on fire was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
The Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident.
