Police are investigating after a body was found in a canal near 44th and Van Buren streets Friday morning.
Phoenix police said officers found a man in the canal who was removed out of the water by Phoenix firefighters.
Authorities pronounced the man dead at the scene.
An investigation remains ongoing.
Police say there are no signs of obvious trauma or foul play.
