Phoenix Fire Department says a 28-year-old woman was taken to the hospital after being rescued from Piestewa Peak.
The woman was reportedly in the Dreamy Draw area on Sunday morning when she suffered an ankle injury.
Fire officials say she had to be taken down from the trail via a Big Wheel rescue tool with the help of mountain rescue crews.
An ambulance was brought to the scene and she was then taken to the hospital.
Piestewa Peak is located in the area of SR-51 and Northern Avenue.
