PHOENIX — A Phoenix Fry’s Food Store has issued a recall on fresh seafood products that were purchased at a Fry's location near 40th Street and Thunderbird Road.

According to a press release, Fry's issued the recall on seafood that was purchased from the full-service counter or the self-service case from 6 a.m. Friday, July 17, through 4 p.m. Friday, July 24.

Fry's says a temporary equipment malfunction caused the fresh seafood case to possibly not hold the proper temperature, causing the products to be subject to temperature abuse.

The possible temperature abuse could have caused growth of spoilage organisms or pathogens, although, there have been no reports of illness or injury, Fry's says.

Those affected items include:

  • Atlantic Salmon
  • Catfish
  • Pacific Cod Filet
  • Crabcake
  • Krab Salad
  • Lobster Tail
  • Salmon Burger
  • Sockeye Salmon
  • Scallops
  • Shrimp Ceviche
  • Shrimp Raw and Cooked
  • Snow Crab
  • Stuffed Crab
  • Imitation Krab Surimi
  • Swordfish Steak
  • Tilapia
  • Fresh Trout
  • Ahi Tuna
  • Tuna Poke

If you are concerned about an illness, Fry's says to contact a health care provider. Affected products should be returned to the Fry's location for a full refund or replacement. All customers who used a loyalty card for their purchase will be notified by receipt-tape messaging and a phone call.
