A person is in custody after a man was shot and killed in Phoenix on Saturday night.
Police say officers responded to a report of a fight in a parking lot near 19th and Northern avenues just before 6:30 p.m.
As officers arrived, they were directed to an apartment where they located the 49-year-old victim unresponsive, critically wounded by gunfire.
The victim was then pronounced dead by fire personnel on scene.
Police arrested Markus Miller, 34, in connection to the fight and the man's death; he was booked into jail on one count of 2nd degree murder and aggravated assault.
Originally, police said a second individual was taken into custody, however this person was arrested on an unrelated warrant.
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
