PHOENIX — The Phoenix Police Department is searching for a man who allegedly tried to grope a female teen while she was walking to school.
Police say the incident happened Thursday around 7 a.m. near 40th Street and Bell Road.
The 14-year-old told police she was walking to school when a man that appeared to be jogging tried to grab her chest.
The victim says she then ran from the man and contacted a school resource officer on campus.
Officers searched the area for the man but were unable to find him.
Police say the suspect is described as a white male, 5'10", in his 30's and thin. He was wearing gray sweatpants, a gray sweatshirt, and a shirt with a circle on the front.
Police also say he was carrying a black backpack at the time.
