Phoenix police and Silent Witness are asking for the public's help in identifying a man accused of assaulting a 16-year-old in Phoenix.

Just after 3 p.m. on August 22, a 16-year-old accidentally bumped into a 28-year-old man inside the Circle K near 19th Avenue and Union Hills Drive.

Police say a verbal argument led to a 25-year-old man intervening and assaulting the juvenile.

The victim reportedly suffered serious injuries from the assault.

Police describe the suspect as 5 feet 11 inches, weighing 160 pounds, having brown hair and a goatee.

He was last seen wearing a gray shirt, dark shorts, white socks, and slip on sandals. He is possibly named "Rob" or "Scott," according to police.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a 2000 to 2004 gold Buick Le Sabre with peeling and oxidized paint.

The car is missing its front passenger side fender and has missing hubcaps.

If you have any information on the identity of this man, you are asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
