Police are now investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy that occurred Monday evening.
Phoenix Police Department officers responded to a call of a child not breathing near 15th Avenue and Union Hills Drive. The child was then transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Law enforcement says the child had injuries that appear to be suspicious.
Medical examiners will determine the cause of death.
