PHOENIX — Phoenix police are actively investigating a dispute that turned into a homicide at a home near 19th and Peoria avenues late Sunday night.
According to police, they responded to a domestic violence call at an apartment complex around 11:30 p.m.
Police say the deceased victim was involved in a domestic dispute with the mother of a 15-year-old boy and 22-year-old man.
The woman's sons intervened in the domestic dispute and ended up getting into a physical altercation with the deceased victim, only identified by police as a 43-year-old male.
Sometime during the dispute, the sons realized the victim had stopped breathing.
The 43-year-old man was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say at this time, no arrests have been made. They are calling the 15- and 22-year-olds "Investigative Leads" at this time.
