Police: ATV rider hurt in hit-and-run with large truck in north Phoenix

PHOENIX — Phoenix police say an all-terrain vehicle rider is in critical condition after a hit-and-run crash involving a large vehicle.

Police say the crash occurred Tuesday morning near 32nd Street and Deer Valley Road. A large vehicle, described as a large dump truck, reportedly struck the ATV and fled the scene on foot.

The ATV rider was left in critical condition and taken to the hospital.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined and police are looking for the driver involved.

Road restrictions are in place during the investigation.
