Authorities said Monday the child pulled from a Phoenix pool over the weekend has died.
The 3-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital in critical condition Saturday afternoon. Officials said the girl's father found her in the backyard pool at their home near I-17 and Jomax Road and started screaming.
A neighbor certified in CPR heard the screaming and provided aid until paramedics arrived.
Police are investigating but said there was no indication of foul play.
Officials said the pool did not have a fence.
