A three vehicle collision has seriously injured several people, killed one individual and paralyzed another near 8th Street and Hatcher Road.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the collision claimed the life of Kimberly Livingston, a 37-year-old woman on Saturday.
Police say around 5:40 p.m., a black Nissan Versa was traveling east on Hatcher and was approaching 8th Street when it rear-ended a Chevrolet Camaro. The Camaro spun out of control and then hit a pickup truck.
Livingston was a passenger of the Nissan and was taken to the hospital but later died from her injuries.
The driver of the Camaro is believe to have been paralyzed as a result of the collision and is still in the hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the Nissan is in stable condition.
The passenger and driver of the pickup truck were taken to the hospital in stable condition with minor injuries.
Police say the Nissan ran a red light minutes before near Central Avenue and Hatcher Road. Police believe the driver was impaired, and charges may be pressed once a toxicology report is released.
