PHOENIX — Police are investigating a crash near 7th Street and Bell Road.
Emergency crews were called to the area around 10:30 a.m Saturday morning for reports of a crash.
Officials with the Phoenix Police Department say an officer in a police vehicle had its emergency lights on and was attempting to turn onto 7th Street from Bell Road.
At that moment another vehicle crashed into the police vehicle.
The impact caused the police vehicle to hit two other stopped vehicles.
Images from the scene show the cruiser on its roof.
The officer was the only person in his cruiser and was taken to a hospital to get checked out as a precaution.
Nobody else involved needed to be taken to a hospital.
The intersection will be restricted until an investigation is complete.
