Phoenix officials are investigating how an SUV ended up in a pool Thursday.
Phoenix police said the driver crashed through a brick wall and then into a pool near 28th Street and Shea Boulevard when the woman attempted to make a u-turn.
According to Phoenix fire, when crews arrived on the scene her head was still above water and they were able to get her out through the back door.
The driver was not transported to the hospital and impairment was not a factor.
Photos from the scene showed a blue SUV partially in the pool, the front windshield cracked and one door ajar. Debris from the wall was scattered throughout the yard.
