A man is dead and another is hospitalized in serious condition after a shooting in north Phoenix.
Authorities were called to a QuickTrip near 28th Avenue and Thunderbird Road around 2:30 p.m. Saturday after receiving reports of two people suffering gunshot wounds.
According to a police spokesperson, two people were found shot in a car in the gas station parking lot. The driver was taken to the hospital in serious condition and a man who was also inside the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses told officials that the two victims were seen arguing with another group of men prior to the shooting, a police spokesperson said. The argument happened at a different location and the group shot at the victims before they left the area and ended up at the QuickTrip.
