A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday evening at 19th Avenue and Bell Road, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Officials said the pedestrian was crossing Bell Road shortly after 6 p.m. when a southbound vehicle hit that person. The driver remained at the scene and did not show any signs of impairment, police said.
The roadway was closed around 10 p.m., but has since reopened.
