Phoenix police have identified the rider as 18-year-old Angel Osuna Mellan.

Officers responded to the crash near 32nd Street and Bell Road just before 3:30 p.m.

According to police, Mellan was traveling eastbound on Bell Road when it collided with a Toyota Prius that was being driven by a 79-year-old man.
