PHOENIX — Police say impairment may have been a factor in a crash that injured a Phoenix officer early Friday morning.
The crash occurred just before 1 a.m. on southbound Interstate 17 near Pinnacle Peak Road. Officials say three cars were involved in the crash.
A Phoenix officer, who was working in a construction area, was reportedly involved in the crash and was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Another person is reportedly in custody after the crash and impairment may have been a factor.
The freeway was shut down for the investigation and clean-up.
