A motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries after colliding with a pickup truck Friday night.

The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. near 16th Street and Cave Creek Road.
Phoenix police tell ABC15, the motorcyclist was southbound on Cave Creek and hit the truck as it was pulling out of a private drive.
The driver of the pick up was not hurt and there are no immediate indications of impairment, according to Phoenix Police Officer James Holmes.
Cave Creek Road was closed from south of Cactus to about 16th Street while crews worked to clear the scene.
