PD: Man arrested after wife was found dead in their north Phoenix home

PHOENIX — A man has been arrested after police say they found his wife dead in their north Phoenix home.

Phoenix police say the incident happened Monday around 9:30 a.m. at their home near 16th Street and Union Hills Drive.

Police were originally called to the home for a call of an “unknown trouble.” When they arrived at the scene, the suspect told police that the woman was inside the home and not responsive.

Police have not identified the 43-year-old victim or suspect in this case. Police have not released details on how the victim was killed, but said she had traumatic injuries.

The couple have two children who were not home at the time.
