PHOENIX — Phoenix police say a 3-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot at an apartment complex near 35th and Dunlap avenues.
Police believe the shooting "may have been some sort of accident," but told an ABC15 crew on scene, they are "looking for someone."
"We might not have gotten some information that was correct to begin with and it might of even been a lack of information and we're trying to put that all together," said Phoenix Police Sergeant Tommy Thompson.
Authorities are still trying to determine exactly how the child was shot. They say the 3-year-old survived surgery but is still in critical condition.
This is an ongoing investigation. Stay with ABC15 for updates.
