PHOENIX — Fire crews say they have stopped forward progress of a 52-acre brush fire burning near Tatum Boulevard and Pinnacle Peak Road.

The "Pinnacle Peak Fire" broke out Sunday around 5:00 p.m. and is burning through desert brush, according to Phoenix firefighters.
Officials say the fire is not threatening any homes or structures in the area.
Pinnacle Peak Road and Tatum Boulevard were shut down while crews worked to contain the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
