A heater is to blame for an apartment fire in Phoenix, an issue that happens almost every year when the weather cools down across the Valley.
The fire broke out early this morning at a complex near 31st Avenue and Beardsley.
The cause of a fire that displaced multiple families has yet to be determined.
PHOENIX - About a dozen people are displaced after a large apartment fire in north Phoenix.
Phoenix fire said Glendale firefighters helped control the fire near 31st Avenue and Beardsley Road on Wednesday morning.
Four units were impacted by the fire. The fire was located on the second floor, but first-floor apartments sustained water damage.
The people displaced by the fire are being assisted by the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no report of any injuries.
