A Phoenix woman dropped as a political fundraiser for U.S. Sen. John McCain's re-election campaign seven months ago after being arrested on suspicion of drug possession to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Emily Pitha entered her plea Tuesday in Maricopa County Superior Court.  She's scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 8 and expected to get probation.

The 35-year-old Pitha and her boyfriend were arrested in April after Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies served a search warrant at her Phoenix home and found an active meth lab and other illicit drugs.

A county grand jury later indicted Pitha.

Pitha had been active in Republican fundraising and had been listed as the RSVP contact for McCain's re-election fundraisers.

The McCain campaign terminated its relationship with Pitha after her arrest.
