The Department of Public Safety says they arrested 58-year-old Perry Ward Tuesday for possession of heroin and methamphetamine in Phoenix.
DPS says Ward was pulled over on Northern Avenue near the I-17 around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday. Troopers on scene said that Ward was acting nervous when he was pulled over, and a pouch fell on the floor when he got out.
After searching the vehicle troopers say they found large amounts of heroin and methamphetamine in the vehicle.
Ward was arrested on six counts including dangerous drug possession for sale, and narcotic drug possession.
