A couple is looking for a place to stay after an overnight house fire.
Phoenix fire responded to 35th Avenue and Cactus Road after a man reported he noticed fire coming from the vents in his house.
When firefighters arrived on the scene they found fire coming from the AC unit.
A man and his dog were able to escape without any injuries. The man's wife was not home at the time of the fire. All of them are getting assistance for a new place to live.
Phoenix fire said there were a lot of items in the house which made the fire difficult to fight.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
