Phoenix police are investigating after a child was hit by a car on Friday morning.
A 5-year-old boy was reportedly hit near 7th Street and Greenway Road. He has been taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police say the driver kept driving southbound after the crash, but has been located by police and is being questioned.
There is no word yet on what caused the crash, but police say the intersection will likely be closed throughout the day.
The boy is expected to survive.
